Terms of use
Last updated October 17, 2026
1. What Packmule is
Packmule is a free service for sending large files by link. It is run by Learnlab LLC (“we”) as part of Instride. By using Packmule you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address; there is no password. You must be at least 18 years old. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can open your email can sign in as you. One account per person.
3. Limits
A send can hold up to 2 GB and 100 files. Each account can send up to 10 GB per calendar month. Every send is deleted 5 days after it is created, and you can delete it sooner. We may change these limits; the current limits are always shown in Packmule.
4. Your files
Your files stay yours. You give us permission only to store them and deliver them to people who have the link, for as long as the send lasts. You are responsible for having the right to send what you send. Anyone with a link can download its files, so share links with care and add a password when the files are sensitive.
5. What you may not send
- Malware, viruses or anything designed to harm a device or steal information
- Phishing, scams or files that pretend to come from someone else
- Material you don’t have the right to share, including other people’s copyrighted work
- Child sexual abuse material; we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
- Anything illegal, or that harasses, threatens or exposes someone’s private information
- Spam, or sends made in bulk to get around the limits
You may not try to get around the limits, the blocked file types or our security, or use Packmule as permanent storage.
6. What we can do
We may remove any send, suspend or close any account, or pause new sends, at any time and without notice, if we believe these terms are being broken or Packmule is being misused. We may share information with law enforcement when the law requires it or when someone’s safety is at risk.
7. Reports and copyright
Anyone can report a send with “Report this file” on its download page. For copyright, our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is Learnlab LLC, copyright@packmule.net. A notice must identify the work, the Packmule link, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. If your send was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
8. Deletion, and no backup
Packmule is not storage. Files are deleted on schedule and can’t be recovered after deletion. Keep your own copy of anything you send.
9. No warranty
Packmule is free and provided as it is. We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that any file will be delivered. We may change Packmule or stop offering it.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost files, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. You agree to cover our costs if a claim against us arises from what you sent or from your breaking these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top; if the change is significant, we tell signed-in users. Using Packmule after a change means you accept it.
